90% of fighters do that so I believe you. I respect Hunter but I think he's exaggerating in order to make it look like he's going to rebuild Khan better than he was before. I'm glad he's getting paid but I think Khan just ain't that good.

I think this is the case.

It was no different than when he teamed up with Freddie and Ariza. I seem to remember one of them (I think Ariza) basically saying, when he was with his previous trainer he didn't work on his leg strength enough, we're going to work on his leg strength and he'll have a better chin for it.

Highly doubt Khan NEVER worked out his neck, Virgil might be exaggerating to say that he needs more mass around his neck to support him when he's getting rocked.

I bet Amir Khan loved hearing that from Hunter. In his own deluded mind he'll probably think that's the reason he's lost 3 fights.

Khan didn't do neck training with Ariza. Ariza doesn't believe in it!

Not sure if much, or anything, can be taken from the below.

Will say this, though, look at the size of Khan's arm/fist compared to Peterson's. Big LWW, my ass.

Virgil Hunter was a great choice for Khan

I was proclaiming Virgil Hunters greatness before he even hooked up with Khan, at the time when Ward first took on Kessler

Just from watching an interview with Hunter I knew this guy was the real deal and has something special, that's why he's got working with one of the best fighters in the sport

Can't wait to see how Khan grows with him

    Smart stuff from Virgil.

Obviously a psychological thing - he needs to convince Khan that he doesn't have to worry about bring KOed, as that problem has been fixed now.

I really doubt that Khan didn't train his neck muscles. The truth is that Khan can't take a punch. If he will rematch with Garcia or fight with Matthysse , he'll get floored again, its irrefutable. Ward is a very special fighter and Virgil knows that. Just like Floyd is. You can train a lot your traps and neck muscles , if your nerves and bones structure are too weak/sensitive, its lights out when a puncher hits you hard.:yep

You can physically see he didn't train them... or didn't train them well enough...

    His neck is small.

That's true. Lucian Bute is someone who has decent traps, yet it seems like he's rattle every time he's touched on the chin, too.
