I've seen only a few fights of Poon, and he looks like the type that can trouble Rigo, but he doesn't have the hand speed or defensive discipline to hit and not be hit. I think Rigo puts him down once or twice on route to a wide wide UD>

Good **** a pressure fighter to make rigo showcase his skills, donaire and rigo both have showcase fights against pressure fighters, let's see who struggles the most on paper rigo is in for a tough fight. Saw the Dunne fight and poon does seem he's durable enough to push rigo to his limits and showcase his skills, poon will be there all night bringing that pressure.

Another tailor-made opponent for Rigo. Poonsawat is aggressive and has always struggled with counterpunchers (Sidorenko, robbery win over Cordoba). I don't think Rigo knocks him out, but I do think he sweeps the cards with Poon winning only a round or two. Hopefully Rigo tries to maintain his new, more exciting style, but I suspect this one will end up being a snoozer where Poon gives up about halfway through the fight and Rigo never steps on the gas to go for the knockout.

Rigo ready to raise the bar.
    Hope Donaire is next.
I like how Hyde didn't fall or the don Francisco fight, bring the best instead.
    Good!

Good to see Rigo in the ring again, hopefully it will be a fan friendly fight.

    Beltran Jr - Gamboa
    Vasquez - Uchiyama
    Rigondeaux - Poonsawat
    Gesta - Vazquez
    Adamek - Cunningham 2
    Khan - Molina

Rigondeaux ducked the more proven Agbeko for this guy. I'm dissapointed but just slightly as Poon is actually a good test for the cuban with the atrocious resume

I predict a UD win for Rigonglass but he'll get a couple of bambi-on-ice moments in the process

So, 118 lbs agbeko is better than ranked 122 poon ?

He's certainly fought/beat better names than Poon. Poon's best W was against a Dunne with one foot on retirement.

I think I speak for us all when I say I like Poon. And I want to see Rigo on camera giving and taking with Poon. I think I speak for us all when I say that. We all like Poon and we all want to see Poon banging around with Rigo. And for Kellerman to be there. Watching. Bug-eyed in excitement.
