Those gifs should remind everyone what a complete buffoon Haye is. I'm amazed how people start believing in him again every time he starts blustering.

Believe me, if Vitali fights Haye and KO's him or David runs for 12 rounds and loses a wide decision, 12 months later his fans have forgotten all about it and the whole "savior Haye" crap will start over again.

Haye fans are as resilient as Audley Harrison.

How good do people genuinely think he is?

Obviously he's not the 'saviour' or whatever but serious question.

He is better as I expected actually... but that doesn't say much because I thought he was all talk no substance from the get go.
Problem with Haye is that he doesn't fight the other big names and his fans use the obvious cop out "he would beat them anyway" (like the post above me ), so it's hard to really rate him.

He COULD be the best HW of this generation.

If he fought every fight smartly like he did vs Barrett, Ruiz, and Chisora, while still giving his opponents a reason to be apprehensive, he could easily roll through the division KOing the likes of Adamek, Mitchell, Price, Fury, Szpilka, Mago, Wilder, and wins points wins over Arreola, Pulev, Potvetkin.

I would advise him to avoid guys like Chambers and Jennings, and get his mind of the paydays, I mean Klitschkos, since they are essentially unbeatable. But heah, no shame losing to a dead lock top 10 and a would be deadlock top 5 ATG.
David himself, could still become a top 10. I have him currently between 19-24. Two more solid wins and he's 17-19. :thumbsup

Hayes rare combination of speed, power, and athleticism is often overruled by his tentative nature when fighting big men. But he's beaten punchers before and these big guys may hit a bit harder, but their punches tend to be more arm punches than power shots.

Sadly though, Haye seems to care more about how deeply he can line his pockets with British Pounds, than how he'll line his legacy.

Hopefully, he'll get the Vitali farewell fight, do well enough to avoid getting KOd, but still show glimpses of greatness and he'll fight on, perhaps for the vacated WBA kiddie title first, then going after the vacant WBC strap.:deal
