Q: How would you like to be remembered?

Carmen: That I was a crowd pleaser—that I gave the fans excitement and that they enjoyed watching the fights. That’s why people came to the fights, so we can make them enjoyable.

    Fulfilled, tenfold.

    RIP Champ

Right. It's a great win for 1) It's Robinson and he was the Champion, 2) He was moving up, 3) He was a lot smaller.

Also got wins over Billy Graham x2 (HOF), Gil Turner (should be), Tony DeMarco x2, Johnny Saxton x2. Had a war with Kid Gavilan for the WW title as well. Legit 147/160 Champ.

  12. Rest in Peace champ! Carmen was a ****ing warrior and a true G in his time.

RIP to a true warrior of the ring.

Howard Cosell: `Carmen, we asked 10 sports writers what they thought the outcome would be & 9 of them picked Sugar Ray by a knockout, what do you say to that ?`

Carmen Basilio: `9 of them are wrong`

(Carmen was right, Robinson won on points)

    Legend :bbb
