Froch beat Bute much worse than Ward beat Froch - But Froch is happy to go to Canada for a rematch

So why shouldnt Ward rematch Froch in Notingham?

When looking at P4P or ATG I think part of the criteria is how well the fighter travels, is he psychologically strong enough to set his stall up anywhere in the world and be great - look at the difference it made to Ali Foreman.

If Ward wants to enhance his standing and legacy, he should be looking at doing this, if he doesnt it will always be a question mark over him...

I'd love to see this fight but I understand some people's eye-rolling and the time it might take to make it happen. What I don't get is people saying out right that it should just never happen because of their first fight. Ward's pretty much cleaned out the entire division and so if he decides to stay at SMW after Pavlik and opponents he's beaten before keep on winning then he's going to have to face them again at some point. If that time comes then rematches in those opponents' home countries is a perfectly reasonable thing to expect. Kessler will get the opportunity before Froch does so after Pavlik and then Kessler maybe Froch can hope for a rematch in early 2014 but Ward might've moved up to LH by that point.

Not sayingFloyd is not number one - But if Floyd had achieved some of his wins abroad, he would be held in even greater regard

At least floyd makes tons of money doing it, which is not the cas for Ward.

Ward doesn't have the luxury of making himself a household name like Floyd did with Oscar and then make a ton of money cherry fights after that.

Is much safer to stay at home... apparantly in the UK, you can win a match by just winning 3 rounds while landing 5 clean shots.

Nah, he has always been like that.

Personally I think Kessler deserves a rematch with Ward more than Froch, their first fight was questionable cause of the headbutts, I would not call them accidental.

But Ward does not seem interested in any rematches. He really has no where to go. Shame he cant move down and fight Martinez.

  12. people need too remember ward won with a broken hand lol

Does anybody hold it against Floyd he never left the US? No

    Molsey never travelled.

Kell Brook fought more times than Ward and has never left Brittan.

Hoya is supposedly Mexican and has never fought in Mexico.

Did Manny Pacquiao ever return to the philippines for a fight? No

Travelling dont mean nothing to a fighters legacy.

I think some make too big a deal outta travelling abroad for a fight. The fact of the matter is, guys fight where it makes sense finacially, or where they can get it leveraging through negotiations. Fighting outta your country is not a criteria for judging greatness.
