Big Enzo Mac is fighting tomorrow night and I was wondering if anyone knew of a fighter in British boxing with a punch resistance worse than his?

Danny Williams' punch resistance completely went towards the end of his career and Amir Khan doesn't have a great punch resistance but Enzo for me currently has the worst.

When he was at featherweight I'd have said Derry Mathews would run him pretty close.

At 135 he seems much more durable, despite that dodgy nose.

Do you have a punch resistance probe for this?

No one can judge someone's punch resistance or chin. Don't be silly.

I always remember Paul 'Scrap Iron' Ryan!! it seemed to be he either hit them and KO'd them or in all three of his defeats were by KO in the first couple of rounds!!

Yes, and if you think otherwise, then I think you're naive.

There's loads of factors which give a person the impression that a boxers resistance is weak or his chin is bad.

Errol Christie didn't appear to have the best of chins.

Like having a bad chin or poor punch resistance, for instance?

That's a pretty big factor in things.

Or maybe the person's conditioning played a role, or his sparring, his previous opposition, his opponents punching ability, his mentality in the ring, his age, whether he saw the shot or not, whether his opponent was a class above, whether he was consistently hit with shots and so on..

The only reason the fighters in the OP were mentioned is because these fighters are one's that stand out to us, but what does that make of the fighters who were knocked out by them then? They've also been knocked out many times previous so does that equate to poor punch resistance or a bad chin for them too?

When I used to spar at the boxing gym I went to, I frequently sparred someone I got to know and I did absolutely fine with his punches, and at some times, he put me on the floor. Does that mean my chin is poor?

Everyone's human and there's hundreds of liabilities that go into being knocked out or beaten. Simply labeling it down to poor punch resistance or a bad chin, is without doubt, naive. I could name hundreds of fighters that have been knocked out, yet have come back and withstood punches and won bouts, it's just that when there's a fighter with a history of either being dropped, we're set to label him a fighter with weak resistance.

So are you saying Enzo Mac doesn't have bad punch resistance? Beating Braithwaite was impressive but he didn't ship a big shot that whole fight if I recall.

Any time Enzo gets hit, he seems to get hurt. Also, forgetting all of the well-known KOs, I remember when he fought Mark Hobson and Hobson almost flattened him in the first round, the KD was eerily similar to the Frenkel knockdown. I had Hobson winning that fight

It's got to be Enzo, followed very closely by the jumped up little Moron himself Amir Khan.
