Tua-Ibeabuchi was in 1997 ppl my choices David Izon vs Derrick Jefferson: a disturbingly one sided fight with a classic comeback; ended up ruining both fighters Liakhovich-Brewster - the last great heavyweight championship fight to date; also ended up ruining both fighters
Are you saying that wasn't one of the most entertaining HW title bouts during the referenced time period? :smoke
If you like brawl type of fights then any fight involving Lyacovich, Helenius or Brewster. Brewster vs Golota was sick. Also, Vitaly Klitschko vs Briggs was a sadistic fight.
good answer. it's rare in this heavyweight era to see two big man throw down like that with that type of punch output.it wasn't the most significant matchup at the time but it was a very entertaining and exciting fight nevertheless
Brewster-Liakhovich was the last great heavyweight fight but lewis-vitali was def the heavyweight fight of the decade
id like to shout out monte barrett-david tua 1...that was a surprisingly good fight with barrett score the first legit KD on tua in the last round..that and haye beating up on ruiz were the last heavyweight fights i thought were any good..not classic though
