Bob Mee did a lovely piece this week, very much to the point.

Jist of it was the WBC and it's sanction fees, sure most of you have read it but if not here is basically how it goes down according to what he's heard.

-WBC Silver belt supposedly has a sanction fee of $5,000. (£3.126)
Boxer has to then pay his own fee by looks of around $750 (£468.90).

-$2,000 (£1,250,40) for the belt itself..

-$1,500 (£937.80) is charged for boxers hospitalization and life insurance.

    - Supervisor fee is around £279.79

-The fee for ref's and judges is supposedly £559.58 each and that doesn't even include travel and accommodation.

-Money has to be paid in allegedly 15 days before..

Now that's all for the Silver Belt, Tommy Coyle won that title last week.

Was it James Toney who came out with that line ''We Be Crooks'' when talking about the WBC?. Well looking at them fee's they get it in!.

I think Tommy Coyle ''won'' the ''Silver International title''

Knowing Sillyman they will have taken a life policy out with a company who excludes hazardous pastimes, such as boxing.... and if someone dies they'll get **** all.

Just seen this on the app. Absoloutely ridiculous costs. Worse thing is that they give the fighters who win the belts hope and a bogus ranking when in reality they mean sweet fa. For example George Carmen won the WBC Youth Silver Welterweight Title and now he is fighting for the IBO Youth Light Welterweight Title.

What a racket. ****ing disgraceful. I'm glad I took the decision to try and not give a **** about the bull**** titles or I'd be tearing my hair out at what these people get away with.

Mand. I don't think its a belief. They are in business, they must know it makes financial sense to pay these fees to pin the bogus titles on the fights. Same with the boxers/ managers.

I went and many casuals thought it was a good belt to have and even though it did add to the atmosphere its a daft title and literally invented to make money for the WBC

Yeah they must do, Be interesting to see if the Coyle card from last week was more expensive per ticket then other shows he's had there.

I saw Casey/Booth in the Summer and it was for the WBA European Title and WBO inter-continental belt. After the fight they gave him the belts and I just thought jesus christ what is the point in those belts, they look like there from toys r us. Id rather see two fighters scrap it out without some pointless belt.

It would be interesting to compare this belt to a domestic title. I think Dennison sums up the promotion. Put the WBC on it and people think it's a top title if they don't know..

Dunno what the problem is here.....the Klitschko's have been paying for their belts for about 10 years. They go to the highest bidder at an auction.

Audley Harrison nearly bought one at an auction, but he lost out to Shane Mcphilbin though.

A real shame, he was a world champion in the making.

Never mind Audley, I'm sure your day will come eventually at another auction.
