It wouldn't surprise me at all if Judah got off to a very good start. Win some early rounds before getting ground down by Garcia for a late stoppage or a UD. Zab's physical tools are still pretty much intact and he can be hell on guys who can't answer his speed. I just don't think he can't keep it up for a full fight.
Style makes fights. Garcia style from what i can see is pretty flat footed. It is suited for fighters who comes to fight. Judah's movement may cause Garcia some problems. Also Judah can still crack. I'm very interested in seeing the fight to see if Garcia can adapt and show his versatilly.
Watching the beginning, Garcia can cut off a ring better than I thought, but once he's in range, he rarely ever does much. If he walks into something, Judah may be able to test his chin. He's probably solid but who knows. I'll see what the rest of the fight looks like later, the SD outcome interests me.
All this talk about dannys left hook. u but zabs uppercut and straight left are the better punches. and given their respective styles, those shots should land easily. and more importantly negate dannys hook. which is really his only chance. even at 35 zab is the better fighter physically as well as skill
You don't think Garcia has the speed to land a leaping straight right hand like Paris started to do in the later rounds? The longer it goes, the more dangerous it is for Judah. He may be able to knock out Garcia with one punch easier than Garcia can Judah, but in the event that doesn't happen, Garcia is more likely to discourage and offset Judah with his offense than Judah making Garcia lose his nerve.
That leaping right is the main reason paris was getting caught! zab baits people with that. trying set up his left. although mayweather was to quick for zab to time consistantly. and clottey was to big for zabs shots to slow him down. matthysse said zabs power prevented him from pressuring zab the way he wanted to! and he has a great straight right. not to mention hes a relentless pessure fighter. you think danny has more power than matthysse?
Great effort Bogo, was a nice read and its refreshing to see actual boxing talk instead of the usual crap around here :good At the end of the day, I see a lot of people giving Judah a big chance in this fight.... we will see. I think Garcia is so far above Paris that it will offset the things judah was able to do in the Paris fight. I think Garcia should win this fairly comfortably.... I think 8 rounds to 4 or so.
Danny doesn't have more power than Matthysse, but he's quicker, hits hard, and if Judah's output starts dropping as it usually does towards the late rounds and eats lead rights without having the composure to time them, he could open the door for Garcia to come in consistently without fear of a counter. Paris's lazy right got him KO'd, but in the round previous, the right hands were backing Judah up with no answer. My point is that the damage might be done too early in the mid-rounds for Judah to adjust and re-gain his confidence as Garcia gets closer. Like I said, Judah has a window to either land something big or pile up consistently hard shots early to later dictate the rest of the fight with control, but if he cedes ground for more two consecutive rounds and becomes gunshy, its unlikely he turns the pace back to his favor, save for a hail-mary bomb. Thanks man :good glad you enjoyed it. You think it goes the distance then?
Ya, I think it should.... for a few different reasons. Garcia is a hell of a puncher, but Im just not sure he will land the type of shots needed to get Judah out of there, and Im not sure how effective of a punisher he is. Judah can survive when he wants unless hes in against certain exceptional qualities. Also on second thoughts Im thinking more 9-3.... not 8-4. We will see though :bbb
awesome breakdown, i envy your boxing eye bogotazo. i've been watching boxing 13+ years and don't posses near the eye for this sport that you do. i'm a huge judah fan and am really looking forward to this fight and hope it's competitive. with that being said i don't think judah really deserves a shot at garcia. if garcia wins i hope he takes a step up in class and fights some of the top guys in the division. as much as i love this matchup, being the judah fan i am, i know there are a lot more significant fights out there like rios, jmm, and matthyse. i hope they materialize in the future.
