Why was there no Collazo - Berto rematch?

    I dont know i always wanted to see it

    without going on boxrec to look at their next fights i could just assume Berto fought a mandatory or something and Collazo probably lost

    There's never a rematch when a prospect has a close fight with someone he meant to beat nothin new

    nice try but that was a year and a half later I'm asking why didn't they fight that same year after they fought the first time.

    whats wrong with having them rematch?....it was a good fight the first time. I think a rematch would've made sense :-((

    Better question would be why wasn't there a Collazo-Hatton rematch as Ricky was holding on for dear life at the end of that one.

    The answer is simple. It was because the powers at be didnt want to risk berto losing to collazo in the rematch so they took the W and moved on.

    Same way there was no Alexander vs Koltenik rematch or Alexander vs Matthysse, Judah vs Matthysse, Paul Williams vs Lara, Rios vs Abril its boxin u should know this by now..
