Wach is just a big stationary target who will hopefully be durable to last a few rounds Its a horrible mismatch, Wach has done nothing to deserve a title shot
Can't see Wach landing anything significant (hurting Wlad) at any point. He's just too slow (how could he possibly significantly improve on that since the last fight..) and Wlad is too good defensively, will also be extra cautious knowing Wach's power. Looks like Mariusz will come to fight though.. Props for that, I like the guy, would like him to win. But as far as my reason is concerned, for 99.999999999999%, he's in there for a rude awakening and I feel sorry for him already as I think he will be getting up until he really won't be able to. Not that I exlude the possibility the fight will go the distance (perhaps Wach has a McCallish chin or something) but I predict a stoppage around 7-10th rounds (Wlad should be cautious early, or maybe even carry Mariusz a bit).
Also, Wach hasn't been in there with anyone REMOTELY close to Wlad's level. Not even Arreola, Austin, old Briggs or even Grant - anyone.. They should have test him somewhat before taking on an ATfreakin'G.
True. This is a monster of a step up for Wach in class. He didn't even have any sparring partners other the Julius Long. The ones he was counting on were in the Alps. Klitschko had like 8 sparring partners, and 4 of them never even left the hotel according to Wach. Somewhat dirty tactics by team Klitschko.
I was picking Wlad to cruise to an easy victory until I saw Wach's undeniable speed bag skills. Wach will win this going away.
Buying all sparring partners out so your opponent doesn't have any, to me at least, is somewhat of a dirty tactic on some level, just doesn't seem right. Heard complaints from Wach in some articles that he didn't have anybody to spar with because everyone they were planning on went off to the Alps for Klitschko, some of which reportedly weren't really even used. Fair and legal, but somewhat cheap, imo. :conf
Wlad didn't hold a gun to their head...they could have went to Wach's camp if they wanted, that was their choice.
Clearly though they were paid a bigger purse by Wlad because their camp can afford it, leaving Wach without any decent sparring partners to be able to more properly prepare for the fight, because Wlad bought them all out, whether he intended to actually use them or not. Not a huge deal, just saying it doesn't really sit well with me if true, which I don't see why Wach would make that up. Don't think it'll have an affect on the outcome of the fight, either.
I respect Wach for getting into shape. If you look on how he looked in his last fights it seems that hes improved ALOT since then. I'm hoping for an upset but I think Wach is 2 leves under Klitscko. He wen't staright from fighting C's to fighting a A fighter.
