    @ no.1

I'd say a mix of no.2 and no.3 if he hadn't made similar **** ups with many fighters. He's a joke.

The thing is Flea, he's getting worse not better, I think it may partly be down to the Vitali/Briggs fight? He let that go way too long and its affected his judgement?

The only possible argument that he could come up with is that Enzo does have a reputation, but equally when Enzo does get hurt he's on jelly legs and is completely defenceless.

His guard was up and he was punching back.... wasn't as if he was pinned on the ropes and being tee'd off on, with his hands in his pockets and a cheesy grin on his face.

    Absolutely brutal refereeing.

Worst ref on the circuit. How the BBBC keep him on the books is astounding!

After yet another awful decision he surely has to go!

His decisions as a judge are just as bad.

    IJL has got to go!!

It was a disgraceful stoppage end of. The punters got robbed of a good fight as did Enzo. Some might say it was karma following the Mcphilbin controversy. As for Iain John Lewis don't forget all the **** score cards over the years. Is this guy corpus mentus??

    Just seen it. Terrible call.

Enzo had taken three or four hits, but was steady on his legs with his gloves right up and had just flurried back a few seconds before.

I think Lewis panicked. Why the hell didn't he call a standing-8 rather than immediately wave it off?

As said, faaaar from his first blunder, as ref or judge actually.

Can we all write to the board asking for an immediate review of his competence?

I agree. I'm not sure there was any call to even stop the action, never mind issue counts. There was no reason to stop it, and I'm one of the people who thought Enzo should retire after Afolabi splattered him.

It was surreal officiating - IJL appears to be completely incompetent and lacks the cool demeanour to respond under pressure.

He jumped the gun on Enzo's past reputation, which is wrong IMO.

Yes he is there for fighters safety as well as refereeing the fight, but you can't step in early due to a mans reputation. Enzo made the decision to get back into the ring he needs to be treat like any other boxer once the fight starts.
