More Respected: Manny Pacquaio or Floyd Mayweather?

By real boxing fans that see past the ****, Floyd. By esb, Manny.

 

Boxing wise...its gotta be Floyd when every one holds him as a legit favorite against eveyone 154 down including Pac.

Considering all the backlash he gets about not fighting this person and that person....he still remains Number 1 P4P, been top ten P4P for probaly a decade or close to it, consistantly regarded as a top 50 ATG already, and like i said the favorite legitimately against everyone 154 and down.

That alone should show you how much respect he gets...Boxing wise.

Now if we included all things outside of boxing then i think we know who gets the most.

 

Boxing-wise, pacquiao gets respected more. he is a story of rags to riches because of his trade. ran away from his home province to try his luck in the big city as a minor. even putting weights in his pocket in order to qualify to fight other boxers who are years older than him. transformed from a crude boxer in his early days who just relied on his physical talents to get by to the best boxer in the world by virtue of his competition and accomplishments. he is indeed an over-achiever and what he is doing above 130 is jus a bonus.

meanwhile, floyd has been brought from a boxing family, properly sheltered and educated on the game. has a good promotions that carefully guided him in his early days. with his talent and skills, he could have achieved much more if he just fought the fights that people wants to see.

...and truth (on the underlined). Everything else is conjectural.

Its simple people watch Floyd to lose people watch Manny because they love how he fights and who he fights !

 

A man who was not born into a boxing family, nor an olympian, came from poverty, an asian bantamweight who had already lost twice trying to make it big in the US.

When he beat MAB first time he had already overachieved. When he beat JMM and Morales and was a 4-5 weight division champ, he had definitely overachieved. When he was ranked #1 p4p and considered an ATG he had overachieved. When he did the impossible and beat ODLH jumping 3 weight classes in 1 year then going on for a run from JWW-JMW, that **** is just icing on the cake.

The guy has beat the odds more so than any other fighter. There were threads 5+ years ago asking where would you ranked Pac if he did this and that, most said #1 ATG of all time. Pac did all those things and more, of course people change their mind on their placings but it shows that he definitely achieved much more than expected.

Then again, hater like you wouldn't understand.

 

The real boxing fans are on the forums. Boxing fans who love boxing enough they would actually spend their time discussing boxing on an online medium.

Where are those "real fans" you are referring to? The boys from the hood who thinks Floyd is the greatest of all time because he's black? :rofl

I'm pretty sure there are " boys from the hood" who prefer PAC over mayweather on this forum.
And there are posters from Asian decent who prefer mayweather.

But please tell us why you "who is a real boxing fan" would bring the color of a mans skin into the equation???

Floyd should be respected more. He's a great father and a man who care about his health.
