Size is not enough. I think Vlad. knocks out Wach in probably 2 or 3 rounds. When a guy is tall yes he has some advantages, but when both are tall then the better and more experienced guy is going to land his punches and that is Vlad. He will land clean and often. 2-3 rounds. This looks like a good style for him. And the quality in opposition is so big.
I don't understand people getting excited about Wlad fighting an opponent who happens to be a few inches taller than him, as if that should mean something. No offence to the bloke, but Wach is so inferior to Wlad in everything that actually matters that it would be an insult if he gave Wlad any real problems in the ring.
I once saw Wach donkey punch a rhino. That rhino is now deceased. Make of that what you will. But, I won't be underestimating him.
yeah but if I read Wach's record correctly he is 27-0 (15). A good record, but against the guys he fought that doesn't impress me. I might be wrong later, and recently it looks like Wach has knocked out most of his opponents, but the level of fighters he fought. This is a huge jump. If he was John Mugabi when he fought Hagler with a 26-0 (26) record, then I might think he was this huge puncher- at the high level. It will be interesting to see what happens if Vlad lands his big punch on Wach. And I also noticed from the pictures, Wach has thin legs. Usually that body type can punch because the weight is distributed to the upper body, but it also mean that they cannot take a great punch or they have fatigue later because those thin legs are carrying around a lot of upper body weight. Either way he losses I think.
this could end up being a good hindsight victory if he goes on to beat someone decent but right now it's a **** fight. Haye was a great fight, Thompson was a ranked mando, JMM was atleast a name but this fight makes no sense.
Wach doesn't have a hope in hell of winning this fight. His size means nothing, he's too slow to even have a punchers chance. He will be a sitting duck for Wlad. If Wlad wanted to he could end it in a round or two but I think he'll box his usual cautious style and pick Wach apart an stop him in about 5 rounds while winning every minute of every round.
Wach's strategy should be to get inside and turn the fight into a wrestling match. Only a guy his size can get in on Klitschko, and we know Klitschko is not in his comfort zone when he's not controlling the distance. I always thought Valuev would have a chance of beating Klitschko if he used that strategy. As unlikely as it sounds, it's still more probable than any skilled smaller fighter like Adamek & Co. beating Klitschko.
I think Wlad's going to work the body a lot more. He did it against Thompson in their first fight, who also posed similar problems with his height. I expect lots of stomach jabs mixed in along with his usual fare. Would be interesting to see if Wlad can manhandle Wach in the clinch. If it's the other way round we could have a decent fight on our hands.
How about silky skills of values combined with iron cheeen and heart of a lion? Put it all together and u got a new champ.
