Greater all-time boxer: Hatton or Froch?

Hmmm, I will have to watch the Pauly fight again fella as I cant remember much.

I honestly think what people are forgetting is that Ricky has a lot more solid B-level wins, the likes of Phillips, Tackie, Olivera and Stewart, which accumulate to a better 2nd tier than Reid, Dodson and Magee IMO

people do forget about the early part of Hattons career or simply dont actually know what he did pre tzsyu

but still,the consistency of Fr och over the last 4 years trumps what Ricky did in my opinion

If Hatton had a Cotto or a Judah or someone on his resume then it'd be him, but as it stands his best win was faded Tzsyu and then its a big drop off to a questionable job on Collazo

 

Froch for me.

Hatton was more skilled, but wasted most of his prime years feasting on mostly flat out bums for Allegedly.

By the time he stepped up to world level he was already on the slide.

 

This is true, it started happening even BEFORE the Tzsyu fight

 

About the same , Hatton has better skills , Froch is a stronger man.

i have to look at Mayweather vs Hatton and Ward vs Froch . Hatton was in the fight but his chin didnt hold up , where as Froch was never in the fight but wouldnt get knocked out.

 

I'd have them about the same.

Both lost their biggest fights and showed themselves as short of elite but better than the rest if that makes sense.

Hatton will prob go down as the better due to his overall contribution to the sport, but I'd give Carl the edge (just) for fighting everyone - Hatton missed out on Cotto, Margarito and also lost to Collazo imo.

That's not to say Hatton ducked anyone, the fights just didn't happen.

Hatton has boxed like that before, and anybody who knew Hatton knew he was gonna do that to poor Paulie who didn't "fight strange" as much as he fought scared after Hatton almost took his head off in the second round. embarrassing performance from Malignaggi, who still has excuses made for him to this day

It was so bad from Malignaggi that the HBO crew were basically saying he should thank good matchmaking that he ever even won a title LOL, it was THAT bad

 

I wouldn't be sure that Hatton has the better wins.

He's got the best individual win, but I think Froch's record is superior.

KO wins over ALL his leading domestic contemporaries, and wins over Magee, Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham, Johnson and Bute >>>>>>>> Tackie, Phillips, Tszyu, Maussa, Urango, Castillo and Paulie.

 

its because neither of them fight for his favourite friday night rim sprinkle. i bet he thinks cleverly is a better all time great. prob thinks frankie gavin is too.
