    Very good.

I don't think many HW's in history would have made it out of the 8th round if they took those shots Wach was eating.

If Wach had anything less than a steel chin we would have seen Wlad winning by KO in the first few rounds. Can't really fault Wlad. He kept his punch output up without tiring, was accurate, hitting hard and left few openings for Wach to come back with anything. A great display of boxing

The critics who claim Wlad holds too much and doesn't open up enough shouldn't have anything to say here. No doubt they will, but there aren't any grounds for it

Wach was just a punching bag

Easy to look impressive against that kind of opponent

    I give him a B+

7/10 - he could have done better. His bulk clearly limits his versatility.

Wlad should have finished him imo.

Manny may be gone, but Wlad hasn't forgotten the skills that have been passed on to him. If you think that's the case based on one fight, you're an idiot.

7 or 8 out of ten. Wlad totally outclassed a mismatched opponent, as he was expected to, but failed to knock him out. He looked a bit slower and sloppier than usual, but he was also a lot more aggressive so fair play to him for that. Still lacked a lot of punch variety though, and he could have opened up a lot more when he had Wach against the ropes. Nitpicking though. Solid performance and decent fight.

On a related note, the shot he took at the end of the fifth was a monster and should (but won't) put an end to the "Wlad goes down from any solid shot" nonsense that still gets banded around by posters who should know better.

Can't get any worse than a 9 for that one. He did amazing. You can't blame Wlad for not knocking out Wach either... it's not as if he didn't go for the KO. Also, I can't see any other heavyweight standing up to the punishment that Wach stood up to. I am extremely impressed with Wach's chin and heart.

Of course a knockout would have sent it to a perfect 10... but I'm not the kind of guy who hangs his hat on a KO. I love watching boxing and getting to see 10 rounds of domination, brilliant jabs, punishing right hands a left hooks, and crisp, accurate combinations... that to me is better than seeing a 1 round destruction.
