If you mean that his face was often very close to Wladimir's gloves...I agree. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YP-0RtlmDg[/ame]
Lack of skill. Wach proved he can take what Wlad dishes out. HAD he actually utilized that reach of his and jabbed AND actually threw as he backed Wlad up (several times), he could have won. Proof = what happened when he actually connected properly at the end of the 5th I think it was...
Wach actually tried with his limited offence (unlike Haye) but came up inferior. Wlad took all the rounds, and Wlad took that solid Wach power shot in the fifth pretty decently too. All credit to Wladdy for just being a better fighter. I was hoping Wach would land a hail mary, but his right was just too slow and Wlad saw most of them and just moved out of harms reach. Wach can take a hell of a shot but he's just not in Wlad's league skill wise.
He did try to utilize his reach many times actually. He also got inside and in a half distance with Wlad many times. Wach just doesn't have the speed and timing to land consistently on Wlad. The effort and will were there, just not enough skill to catch Wlad.
Tried to utilize his reach? He was outjabbed 35-153! (http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/175789-klitschko-wach)
As close to a shut-out as I've ever seen for Wlad. If you think that fight was close, please, please, don't go into judging fights. There's enough bad decisions out there already. And this comes from a guy that really doesn't like the Klitschko style.
credit only for heart. wach not only is lacking in skill, he has zero athletic ability. any solid hw with a little size and under 40 should work him.
