But Wladimir was floored last night, so yes you are wrong. You should have claimed he's the least floored champion.

Ah, the tired old mantra has been modified! Way to go guys! Changing with the times!

Unfortunately that now makes the above sentence meaningless:

"The only reason Wlad is winning is because of his height..."

    See the problem there?

So I guess Sanders, Purrity, and Brewster are all head and shoulders above Haye, Byrd, Peter, Chagaev, etc, since he beat them all and lost to those journeymen. What does that make Haye, a regional gatekeeper by the logic of bringing up his past defeats?

Plain and simple, Wlad is so talented and so good, he dominates IN SPITE of having not the hardest chin (I'd say it's around the same tenacity as Lewis's)

Not by a punch. Wach wrestled him to the floor but that was illegal. We are talking about a legal flooring.

It's funny as well because there were posters that knew that before the fight, people would be saying that Wach had a shot, and would be his toughest challenge, then when Wlad dominates and severely outclassed him, people would say Wach was a bum. This is like recess in grade 5

But look how many HOFers he fought!!!

Hey man, I love old Bruno. (I'm British, it's sort of mandatory) But yes I have no problems saying he was a pretty weak beltholder. In fact he only won that in the first place in an extremely tense and iffy fight against McCall where the ref let him get away with the sort of clinching that would make Wlad and Ruiz blush. That was considered something of a big deal here, I remember (the winning, not the clinching). But he was never going to hang on to that title for long, the way he fought.

Better name than anyone Wlad ever fought?

    Doubtful.

Wladimir was definitely floored in Round 5 by a punch. Does throwing your opponent down mean you've floored them too? I'm not sure. We'll have to consult MichiganWarrior on this, but it's possible Wladimir was actually floored twice last night.

No, Wladimir wasn't floored in round 5 by punch or anything else. Yes, Wach landed a good right hand but we aren't talking about punches landed. Wladimir wasn't even in trouble. Wach rushed in but couldn't land a single punch after his good right hand.

I hope you're joking on this.

Wlad in about nine months overtakes Larry Holme's reign as second longest reigning dominant champion. Second only to the immortal Joe Louis. Deal with it haters.

No, floored means floored, here on esb and everywhere else, unless you want to put stock in what some random idiot and his fifty alts think.

Here, go to this thread and take a long hard look at the poll results.

Pay special note to the fact that 2.27% is slightly below majority opinion.
