Sergio fighting in April,ducking Canelo?

    read over at the scene Sergio plans to return late April in Argentina. Canelo has expressed interest in getting Sergio in the ring for his May 4th fight.

    If Sergio will be healthy in late April surely he can make the May 4th date. And against one of the bigger names in the sport in Canelo, another oppurtunity for Sergio to get paid.

    My question is does ESB see this as a duck?

    Martinez has always been vying for the money fights, if he took a fight on april chances are Canelo's team weren't being serious about their offers.

    I disagree. Canelo has wanted to fight Martinez and he wants to do something overrated cheater Chavez Jr couldnt do and that's beat Martinez.

    I'm not picking sides,just looking for explanations.

    Sergio has been chasing the money fights, just wondering why he wont take this one.

    I think Canelo does wanna fight Sergio, he would love to beat the guy who gave his rival his 1st loss.

    Actually, I will agree and say that I think Canelo wants Martinez but his team doesn't want him. His team is the one ducking Martinez.

    to be fair to Canelo, he was calling out Floyd in November last year. HE wanted the May 5th date bad

    whether he deserved it or not is another question, but he has been trying to get Floyd.

    i know, i was joking.

    seeing that Lara and Vanes had a draw and will most likely rematch, he's free to avoid them and get schooled by floyd on may 5th.
    i don't mind it.

    Signing for another fight after already being offered a fight by Canelo :-(

    In Sergio's defense, he probably wants an easier fight after just recovering from surgery.

    Knee surgeries are serious stuff for an athlete, specially at 38yo
