What was he saying before the fight? :-(

Howard Cosell's behavior and bias in that video disgusts me to no end, too.

This thread is actually the opposite of the usual anti-Duran propaganda. :deal

Second fight was the best one. The third may be Duran's peak performance.

The third fight is the nearest thing you'll ever see to Barrera-Morales 1.
Those two poofters' trilogy is so overrated.Especially compared to this one.The courage shown in the first rematch shits all over those Mexican fairies.

I love Ray and Duran but to compare their trilogy to MAB-EM suggests a deep rooted misunderstanding, so to speak.

Ray did fight Duran's fight. The fact he won so easily is proof. He won 2 more fights against Roberto even when he was older. Getting older would have favored DUran in 1989 and Ray again won easily. Ray was just more versatile.

'Leonard is flat-footed! He did not come out to dance. He wants to go toe-to-toe with him. He's flat-footed. Would you believe it is Leonard coming to Duran and Duran backing up on him?'

The commentator said that in the first thirty seconds of the opening round. He was clearly surprised that Leonard was employing a different gameplan to the one he expected.

At the very beginning of the second round:

"Leonard fighting flat-footed like he did against Pete Ranzany. I'm amazed. I thought he'd dance with this man.'

    He was talking about Duran-DeJesus.

Why would the third Leonard fight be Duran's peak performance? :rofl
