    :good

His whole career he was kept light.

Except his ill advised 160lb tenture, how anybody ever thought he'd beat Hopkins is well and truely beyond me, he did however do better than Trinidad, due to his superior skill and trickery.

My point, exactly. I am not 'pissy'. Nothing I have said on this thread or the Pep one have been outrageously belligerent. You're in the wrong for bringing it up, poo poo head.

I don't even log in there anymore -- trolls galore.

But, again, you still brought it up.

EDIT: I checked the thread -- thanks for that. I'll give it a good read later.

Not to go of topic but pep never beat a top 10 guy post Saddler.

Overall record against top 10 opposition: 27-8

    Before Saddler: 24-1

    You got Pep's 'stats'?

Ray Robinson's record against Top 10 opposition before comeback: 36-3-1

I have it 37 wins but may have miscounted. Anyway he ended up with 44 which is the most I've seen with the exception of Archie Moore. Ray was a badass. I think there is one other guy over 40 but I can't remember.

Whats Muhammad Ali's record against top 10 guys, i would be surprised if he beat more top 10 guys than Pep, considering Pep fought more.

32-5 I think. Its one of the best out there. If you take out everything post Spinks: 31-2. Pep fought more but Ali had one of the deepest resumes in the history of boxing.

32-5 is right, officially anyway. Joe Louis: 30-3.

The only alterations I make on them is if say, Ray Robinson was the No. 1 rated welterweight (and he ain't getting a title shot, no way) and fought say Henry Armstrong, who was No. 3 - I'd bump Armstrong up to No. 2 on the grounds that Robinson can't fight himself now, can he? The champ isn't budging, and Armstrong is the 2nd highest rated guy he could possibly fight at the time.

Aaron, there's a few rare people that actually have collections of around 12,000+ magazines going to way back when that pegs exact ratings at the time of fights and as a result, a more detailed picture of things. I can't publically post my source because I don't want him to be bombarded, but I can give you all of the stuff I've got so far if you wanna hit me up.

How about pernell whitaker and jose napoles? Man if they beat more top 10 guys than willie pep, it really makes pep look bad, considering he fought over 100 times.
