Last night Cleverly proved he is ready and would beat Ward

    Fantastic workrate and great boxing ability. He wasn't frightened by the occassion and is willing to fight in America. Ward would have trouble with Clev's blistering handspeed and phenomenal punch placement. I guess Clev's great skills in these areas is why Ward is continuing to stay down and dominate a weak division and picking on blown-up shot MWs. He'd probably ask Clev to come down to 168.

    Cleverly's win over Karo Murat is better prime win than anything Ward has accomplished by picking on blown-up MWs, drained LHWs, and cheating against Calzaghe leftovers.

    When has Ward faced someone who isn't flat footed, with the hand speed, work-rate and variety of Clev? I'm not saying he would beat Ward, but in a couple of years this could be a great fight when Clev's ready and Ward's up at 175

    Top post. Ward would struggle with Clev, and he knows it. Clev isn't scared of fighting in America either, as shown by his world class performance against the tough and gritty Native American Shawn Hawk.

    Ward will have to get by Paul Smith first.
    Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.Ward is good,but he's nowhere near ready for Nathan "Promoted" Cleverly.
