Yes when he retires just like Lewis got his credit. Larry Holmes is getting the credit he deserves too people thought of Larry as just a replica of Ali and now he's rated usually within the top 5 heavys.

When the next generations of heavyweights eventually takes over, people will start to claim that they would have been no match for Wladimir.

Wlad gets too much respect. History will forget him and his awful resume very quickly.

I think over the past couple of years he's started to get the respect he deserves. I'm not a massive fan, but it's still evident to me that he is miles better than anyone since Lewis. If he can beat Povetkin, Pulev, Mitchell and Price over the next couple of years he would easily crack my top 10 HW of all time, he's borderline already.

He gets his fair due, but people are compelled to point out his shortcomings when people blindly overrate him. I have him 16th all time right now and he'll surely move into the top 12 if not top 10 by the end of his career.

    Wlad who?

Oh, you mean that boring fighter in the post-Lewis era, who couldn't even put Wach away?
Yeah I kinda' remember him. Tall guy. Clinched & leaned a lot.

He had a brother, too. right?

ESB and it's perception of Wlad is as significant as a kernel of corn in a log of ****. Even the haters can't deny, though they will continue to do so. He's already left his mark in history, and he's not even done yet.

A modern day Carnera or Willard with a glass jaw and a joke resume

Turned heavyweight boxing into a tag team sport with his PED abusing brother Quitali

Exactly. And the ironic thing is there will be good HWs again in the future and they also won't get their dues. Then the tag line will be "This guy sucks, Wlad would have knocked him out".

Just the same old, over and over again.
