Heart can be displayed by continuing to fight, knowing you are hopelessly outgunned and have almost zero chance. This is clearly a form of showing heart.

Heart is when a fighter refuse to give up despite taking punishment and getting outgunned. We've seen fighters go into survival mode after tasting power. Fighters with heart keeps pressing forward with the intention of winning no matter what happens.

Yeah a lot of posters would rather have their ass handed to them in embarrassing fashion for 12 rounds rather then get caught cold and dropped. Gotta have that cheen! winning is a distant second.

 

if someone gets beat up but still tries to land some meaningful punches even though he has no success and it only makes him getting clipped with even more bombs in return, then thats definitely more courageous than someone whos just backing up, flopping to the canvas and offering blow jobs to soothe his opponent

The OP completely misses the point on this one.
Not the fact that he was taking numerous shoots says you have heart, but keeping trying to win despite the pain and the odds means you have heart.

 

Not in and of itself, if doing it all night - but taking punches to continue battling when overmatched or stunned instead of quitting (or, some would argue, taking a knee - although this point is controversial, and I'd argue that in some cases taking a strategic knee when hurt does show heart as it's a clear alternative to quitting and demonstrates your eagerness to remain in the contest and come back with a chance to turn it around by regrouping and clearing the cobwebs) is the definition of "heart".

Yes, it takes heart. The fighter can just as easily give up between rounds, or quit during the round. The fact that he does not, but keeps trying despite getting hurt, is heart.
