Rate these opponents in order in terms of biggest threat to Wlad Klitschko?

Mike Perez deserves to be there, i think he'd beat Mitchell and Arreola

 

Should have Glazkov, Abdusalamov and Szpilka on there

1st - Pulev/Price

2nd - Povetkin, Glazkov, Szpilka, Solis, Boytsov, Helenius, Abdusalamov, Arreola, Fury

3rd - Mitchell, Stiverne

 

this may seem silly, but i think you named 10 through 1 right there . possibly

 

All I know is that it's pretty sad if Price is the most dangerous contender. Dude has never fought past the 7th round, is nearly 30 and has fought no-one of note in his short career. I don't really see why he should be ranked higher than e.g. Mitchell. For me, Povetkin tops the list as he is the most proven guy among those names. And that's still pretty sad, really.

 

I'm thinking Pulev tops the list atm, as his stature and fighting style are very reminiscent of Sanders, and it's well known what he did to Wlad. But then again, I'd no doubt pick today's Wlad to beat Sanders of 2003 and, accordingly, current Pulev.

Solis should be sixth with Povetkin and Helenius moving up one space each. Pulev should be ahead of Fury but you've identified a top six that is fair enough

But as earlier stated none from 7-10 have any business in the ring with Wlad or any world title fight

 

Haven't seen all these guys fight yet...keep that in mind.

Price, down the road, I think is the biggest threat. He's bigger than Wlad, seems to have genuine power. Decent speed for such a huge guy.

Tyson Fury...I like him, but right now he''s no threat. He's still very young though, and can get better. He fights with heart and a degree of attitude, so we'll see. Has plenty of size on his side.

Mitchell...I can see him fighting Wlad in 12-18 months. At this stage, he's not good enough.
Mitchell does have some good qualities though; I like his body punching and he seems to improve markedly with every outing. He seems to have a good punch and is very determined.
I noticed in the Wach fight, that the ref was breaking the fighters very, very quickly though, so whether Mitchell's body punching will be effective depends on the ref. Seth's too open to a right hand though...not good against a big right hand puncher like Wlad.

Arreola...too slow, too one-dimensional. Not competitive against Wlad.

Solis...much the same as Arreola. He's just a big fat unmotivated tit.

Haven't seen the others yet.

 

Interesting that most put Price at or near the top, and at the same time in other threads most say "Price isn't ready".

 

it's because Price is still learning

even though he's near the top, he's obviously not experianced enough to be conidered "prime"

it speaks more about how **** everyone else is tbh

 

How can anyone say he's the biggest threat NOW, when he isn't even properly tested yet.

I mean, do you guys know hom many HW's would have KO'd Audley in the 1st when they just walked right to him like Price did after a minute?!
I guess the list is pretty long. Because when a hardpunching HW just can whale on somebody who doesn't trow anything back, -certainly with Audley's "punch resistance"- it doesn't take too much time before his lights go out.

Price is a hard puncher, is big and has nice combos... but he's a prospect, not a contender! No one knows how he handles a guy who isn't as hittable as his previous opponents and actually hits him back. And the knowledge Wach easily beat him in the ams doesn't give much hope.

 

@ Price and Fury being #1 and #2 they are both complete **** who haven't even stepped it up past British Domestic Level. When will you Brits ever learn to stop over hyping your Glass Jawed fighters? :rofl

It's true what you say, but at the same time I'm just not terribly impressed by the likes of Solis or Arreola.

I like Seth Mitchell and I hope he can wear a strap one day, but although he's more polished and a bit more advanced than Price, he's also 6" shorter than Price and has defensive deficencies that he hasn't ovrcome yet. I think that at this point, he's a lot closer to a title shot than Price is, and therefor has less time to learn. Also, he never had any kind of amateur backround at all, which makes the job twice as hard for him.

I think Wlad would struggle more against a guy his own size who can bang, rather than a guy considerably shorter than him. (Who in fairness, can also bang.)
