Pretty much agree with IB's first post. I'm really pulling for Demarco, his back story vs. Broner's ass hat act make it impossible not to.

However, I can't find one technical advantage for Demarco. Not speed, not quickness, not footwork, and definitely not defense. We know the kid has heart and Broner's heart has never been tested. I'm just not sure that Demarco has the tools to actually push Broner that hard.

So suppose a much younger, still immature Broner gets an older, wiser, more prime Demarco out of there faster than prime Valero did?

Lost to PDL and Quintero acts like he is unbeaten and the next coming of Mayweather... Doesn't rate anybody but himself and his 'daddy'

Hypejob. All would be good if he just kept his mouth shut.

    His opponent Demarco:
Molina clearly wasn't all he was made out to be
Linares outboxed him intill his paperskin, bad defence and not too great jaw all combined to his failure during the 11th round.

It's a legit fight with legit fighters. But Boner making himself out to be the greatest thing to come since sliced bread is bs.

Broner ain't bringing nothing demarco hasn't seen. Escobedo was consistently landing his jab right through broners guard till escobedo got ktfo. Here's hoping demarco tests broners chin.

I am definitely looking forward to Broner's first bout against a real opponent. This will be the first guy considered a quality guy, that is actually in Broner's size range. Glad they stopped picking on midgets.

I think it all depends on whether DeMarco can take Broners punches. If he can walk through him early he has enough in him to cause him problems and I'm still not convinced on Broner fully yet. Whilst I can see he has talent and will probably get better as he hits his natural weight class he was given a gift against Quintero and massively struggled against PDL who is probably the nearest he has fought to a true wold class operator.

sorry, he beat Quintero and PDL. cry about if you want, he edged it. Especially against Quintero.

so, If you think Quintero and PDL are so much better than Broner, why are you picking him to beat Demarco? shouldn't he be getting exposed based on the fact that Demarco is better than those 2?

or, are you just talking out of your ass and you actually believe Broner is a good fighter? LOL @ you talking about how Demarco beat linares. i bet you thought Garcia "got lucky" against Khan, right?

Hypejobs don't fight #1's in the division.

DeMarco and Broner is a fantastic fight at 135, a must see with Broner carryin more weight on his shoulders than Antonio with the belt. Price for stardom is gonna play that night. Wrong call Broner assuming to be the best, elite or whatever but he may survive the price of stardom and live up to his fame.

He didn't beat De Leon, however he has improved and DeMarco isn't on De Leon's level P4P, I rate him higher than some people and think he is a good win for Broner however rating him #1 is reaching a bit,

Yeah, his argument against Quintero is better.

Ponce definitely beat him, close but clear.

Uh, no he isn't. :blood Quintero maybe, but DeMarco is by no means better than the retooled version of PDL. At all. That's just silly. The only thing about DeMarco that conceivably makes him more dangerous than PDL is the fact that he's bigger. Make them the same size, and PDL is superior h2h.

Broner is a good fighter. He's still the favorite moving up to challenge for DeMarco's title, and for a reason. It will be a creditable victory on his resume, but it isn't like he's supposed to lose or anything. The danger is marginal, and only really exists at all if he takes Tony very lightly or makes some dumb mistakes to stray from his game plan (ie showboating too much ).

1st of all, Garcia destroyed Khan and will do the same in the rematch. There was no luck involved, like with Prescott catching him cold.

2nd, nobody is saying DeMarco beat Linares on pure luck. Ultimately he was the better man on the night (despite being the lesser man for 8 rounds, which is enough to deserve a decision loss had it gone that far) and the result bore that out. He was the better man because of his durability and tenacity measured against Linares' bundle of flaws.

Also, Linares isn't the ATG in the making some had pegged him to be early on. He has a nice set of tools, but that bundle of flaws will hold him back when he steps up as it did against DeMarco.

Antonio is the #1 lightweight? :rofl Why, because he has the green belt? Get real!

    Ok, who is then?

Why since Broner has developed, 2 whole divisions suddenly become classes of nobodies?
