I had Mares winning the fight, as did most of the guys in the round by round thread.

The problem is the 120-106 card. It looks like the guy filled out his winner in each round before the fight even happened.

I agree. Mares was pushing the fight and killing his body. Moreno was extremelly uncomfortable.

I did not expect that from Mares. He retained intensity through the duration.

    I think Mares won clearly.

I didn't bother keeping score of each individual round, but 3 rounds sounds about right. Mares just went in there and took the fight.

I had it about six rounds a piece too, not counting the phantom knockdown, and phantom point deduction.

Every round was close but I only scored 3 to Moreno. It happens sometimes in boxing. You get a good, close fight and when one guy wins every round, the 120-108 scorecards seem bull**** but that's the way it is. If one guy wins every round, it doesn't matter how close the overall fight was, it'll still be a wide decision.

I thought Mares did well. He's a very.good fighter. Adaptable, skilled, tough and hard hitting.

Moreno may have won four rounds tops if you want to give him an early X-mas gift. Other than that, three rounds is what he really won, IMO.

yup....kinda reminded me of barrera vs marquez...where marquez won a lot of rounds, but the fight was still exciting and barrers put up a hell of an effort.....

Very effective aggressiveness from Mares. Moreno has skills and is crafty but it looked bad when he literally backpedaled with Mares chasing him across the ring only to get tagged with some body shots.

Mares is a work machine continuously throwing punches and sometimes throwing in situations when he shouldn't resulting in low blows. I wouldn't of mind to see him getting a point deducted from Mares as well, just to get him to be more cautious. Regardless, Mares just outworked Moreno and didn't allow him to think or set up his rhythm.

That card that had Mares 120 was ridiculous but, that knockdown seem legit to me. Moreno was clearly looking to hold after taking a a pair of body shots and a straight right.

I agree. Round for Round I didnt think the fight was close.

Very competetive, but not that close, especially considering the knockdown.

    Just imo
