GBP was forced to give in Lara since I think TR won the purse bidding... It's not GBP giving in Lara voluntarily tho I think GBP also doesn't care much about Lara too.
rigo beating poon would be enough for him to land the donaire fight but beating mares would leave no doubt and would make rigo a sellable name. the thing is, would GBP agree? as of right now, i want donaire-mares but would not complain for a rigo-mares fight.

The Poon fight ain't setting anything. Nothing like that has been mentioned by TR, it's a build up fight to keep Rigo busy and hopefully improve his poor resume. He'll probably need another 2 o 3 Poons before he gets a shot at Nonito. Too bad his fragile mandible wont be protected by headgear this time. And going by some cuban comments I've heard, that amateur fight wasn't an easy W for Rigo at all
