    Who? Hatton?

    Hatton is if anything,one of the biggest overachievers in recent memory,whilst Bute is the worst hypejob since Lacy,so who do you mean by them?

    They're basically the same. All had insane hype about them and when they stepped up got completely dominated. Bute has yet to even face a genuine top class fighter yet. Imagine what would happen if he faced Ward? Froch can also be added to this list after getting Lacy'd against ward.

    I think you're using the label of hypejob far too loosely here.Froch already had a loss and even his fans were well aware of his shortcomings whilst Ricky reached amazing heights in spite of his limitations,which were visible to most of us.

    Bute is on a completely different level.How did Froch get "Lacey'd" when he already had a loss and was known to have shortcomings?

    I think Hatton's best wins are far better than Bute's. Also Hatton certainly had a true warrior mentality I'm not sure Bute has.

    To be totally honest, here's how it looks to me: Hatton sits on his WBU title for a long time and has a lot of domestic fights against guys who really had no hope; a page out of the Calzaghe book. He then fights a Tszyu who hadn't fought in two years and really didn't seem to have the fire after his long career. This is the only real notable win I can see, and I don't particularly rate it given the circumstances.

    After Tsyzu he really didn't do anything THAT special before Mayweather. There are a couple solid journeymen, but no one ELITE. It is because of this that I compare him to Bute. Hatton was still quite unproven against elite competition when he fought Mayweather, which is why he was so shockingly out of his depth during the bout.

    The comparison to Bute may not be spot on, but it's close.

    Ricky Hatton beat Kostya and Bute lost every round and got knocked out in 5 to Froch. No matter if you think Froch is better than Kostya at that point in time, a WIN is better than being on the wrong end of an epic beating.

    Hatton had a really good chin until he suffered multiple concussions. Bute always seemed a bit chinny.

    Well Bute did go to Nottingham, and his plan after that was to fight Ward in Oakland. Both fighters were hometown fighters most of their careers.

    Hatton has some solid wins... that are better than Bute's wins.. Maussa, Malignaggi, Collazo (whether you thought he won or not), Castillo, Tszyu... his resume was still better than Bute's....

    Hatton only lost to Mayweather and Pac who no question are greater than Froch.....

    so this is a tough comparison.... you have to give Ricky more respect than that off this alone

    hatton is a step above bute
    the only fights hatton got dominated in was against the best 2 fighters of his era, bute got beaten by a SMW contender...

    hatton's had some solid wins which guarantee he is thought of more highly than bute right now

    6 months , knocked out Sharmba Mitchell in 3, looked awesome, was a huge favourite for the Hatton fight.

    Instead of making these **** threads why dont you actually watch some boxing ?
