Isn't it funny how most UFC fans don't like boxing, yet want to see more stand up?

They want to see more stand up in UFC because wrestling on the ground for a UD is boring. If they want to see more stand up, why don't they turn to boxing?

Thing with UFC is every fight can go just 2 ways bad stand up or good wrestling/bjj and i'm not crazy about wrestling...but i watch alot of ufc and get pretty pissed off by some fighters in stand up like they never heard of head movement...

Stand up in MMA terms also means you can do kick and throw knees. A prime Crocop was a joy to watch with his high kicks.

  8. It's a fairly ignorant statement. Obviously the use of elbows, knees and variety of kicks come to play. Add that to the risk of being taken down. It's hardly comparable.

Sometimes you see two sloppy sluggers but the fact theres just an inch of foam makes it a little different

This is the stupidest ****ing argument out of all of them.

Anything you're allowed to do in boxing, you're allowed to do in MMA.

And in MMA you have SO SO many more options for attacks. SO SO much more to train.

How anyone can say that boxing is deeper as a combat sport than MMA is beyond me. :patsch

Too much missionary position sack-rubbing and stalling can bore even the most patient ufc fan.

Oh yeah, they gotta work. But at least a dud fight is over in 15 minutes. People act like there's no such thing as two timid, gassed boxers, neither of whom have the power to stop each other, clinching and feinting and playing peek-a-boo and landing two good punches each from round 4 to round 10.
