good shout, been winning all year.....my only beef with him is that he was losing every second of every round v khan until he caught him when he wasnt even looking at him, his head was down, hail mary punch. but hes been getting the W's so you cant really knock him.

Some people don't give Calzaghe credit for beating Hopkins because they felt Hopkins got robbed and one can make a good case for that. Dawson beat an admittedly faded but still game Hopkins, so I definitely give him credit for that.

The problem with calling Ward-Dawson the most impressive win of the year isn't that Dawson was overhyped. It's that Dawson clearly did not make the weight in a healthy manner. It would be one thing if Ward moved up to take the fight but that clearly wasn't the case and he shouldn't really be in the discussion for a single victory over a drained fighter IMO.

Not my definitive answer, but the first name that came to my mind was Garcia. I'd probably vote for Martinez, as he won against two top opponents... There's no clear cut number 1 so far, no ? Ward would need another win.

He gives the first few rounds away in a lot of his fights.

No. Pacquiao lost in June so that excludes him. Marquez, if he should win, would have beaten a guy who hasn't won a fight in over a year - so that excludes him too....

    I'd say Donaire.

Ehh nobody counts Bradley as a loss, most had it a rout anyway. I don't think Pac will get it, but beating Bradley and JMM would be by far the best output anyone has had this year.

It's gonna be Donaire, then Garcia.
