How do you guys see this going? will the brute strength, size and power of Mitchell prevail or will Banks' skills be enough to get him through ?
Honestly, I like Banks, he's a good guy...and while he's a good boxer, he's not near the top of the heavyweights. If Mitchell can't get past Banks with relative ease, I think you can write him off as a potential title challenger.
50 / 50. This will be a VERY interesting fight. My guess: Mitchell will swing away, and Banks will out-box him, for maybe 7-8 rounds. then Banks will tire, make a mistake, and Mitchell will trap him in a corner and get it done.
I'm pretty much in agreement with that. Similar to the Witherspoon fight but will go a few rounds longer.
I like Mitchell with work-rate. Perhaps he might fade in the business end of the fight though. I'll go with Mitchell on points, close but clear. On another note, I really do hope Mitchell makes it past Banks. He seems like a nice person having seen some footage of him outside of the ropes. Beating Banks would set up a fight with Wladimir beautifully down the line.
Banks decision, maybe late TKO. Mitchell is an overrated can, Witherspoon had him on ***** street. Not saying banks is anything special, but he has much better fundamentals, experience and is just all around a better fighter than Seth Mitchell.
I don't see the hype around Mitchell, I guess some people are just desperate to see a good American HW. Mitchell looked like absolute trash in his last fight . By heavyweight standards this is a really good fight, could swing either way imo but im backing Mitchell to get it done.
Mitchell just sucks.... Terrible chin or not, a guy like Witherspoon shouldn't give you any trouble if you're a good fighter.
