http://www.eastsideboxing.com/2012/carlos-molina-wants-to-help-gennady-golovkin/ I would like to see Golovkin take this fight, Molina has a good chin and great boxing skills. This fight may reveal if anyone has a chance at beating Golovkin on points. Thoughts?
Molina is a small JMW that can prolly make WW so I think that Golovkin will be just too strong for him and will KO him. If they were somehow the same size I would favor Molina to out-wit him and win a close UD.
Hell no. Watching Molina "fight" makes me want to get my eyes clawed out. He has one of the worst "styles" in recent memory. If Golovkin could beat him into retirement, I'd support it, but I'd rather see Golovkin prove his worth against someone like Pirog, Martinez, or the Geale/Mundine winner. I'd like to see him fight Quillin too, if Quillin sacks up and agrees to get knocked out by him.
From Dmitry Pirog to Ishe Smith to Tommy Oosthuizen to Carlos Molina. What a ****ing rollercoaster ride.
no chance of this happening. HBO wants GGG to look good, and Molina is not an opponent to showcase someone with.
That's rushing him a bit. I'd say Pirog, N'Dam, Lee, or maybe Quillin can be next. Then get Geale, Martinez and the other top 5 guys.
I think it will be one of these 3: Andy Lee(maybe with the story of Steward built in), Elvin Ayala, Manfredo Jr or Sebastian Zbik. If it's a triple header on HBO that day, you would assume the purse wouldn't be too high.
Who is his manditory?? But the short list of fighters that could test GGG... A.Lee & Rubio would fit the bill.
Not sure but both have been on HBO before & have some name recognition. (That was just me throwing them out there)
Molina would give him a very tough fight. Molina is so underrated it is criminal. top 3 at 154 if you ask me.
why not? i still think hbo should just accept Oosthuizen because that would be a very fan friendly fight imo but at least Molina would be great preparation for Golovkin before he invades 168 and goes after Ward..
