Froch too has been in excellent form. Because he is still 'active', I have put him below Benn for the moment, just in case he has an 'embarrassing' accident or two in the future. But on the plus side, he is the only 'active' fighter (hopefully Reid has called it a day) in my top 10, and thus he is the only one capable of challenging Calzaghe for the #1 spot. And more victories like the one against Bute, are going to give him a chance of dislodging the Welshman.
Pretty awesome list of fighters whatever order you have it in especially as its a relatively new weight class. Anyone want to do their American SMW atg list and see which nation is best at the weight.
That will never happen, it's impossible unless someone in the stands shoots ward with a tranquilizer. Ward isn't unbeatable but froch has got far too many flaws to pull it off, i'd actually give Pascal a better chance at beating Ward, that's the fight I want to see actually. Froch has a decent shout against Kessler though.
i rarely say one fighter beating another is impossible, froch beating ward isnt impossible, improbable, but a man at the top end of the division has a chance of beating anybody, froch is no2, ward is no1, this isnt a mismatch, nor was he outclassed last time. he fought the wrong fight and didnt get into gear til the last 3 or so rounds, outclassed is being beat up for the majority, i never felt he was being beat up he just couldnt land naything on ward. Now its likely ward negates him agani, but its not impossible Froch could beat Ward, and he'll probably beat Kessler so he may as well have another crack at Ward afterwards then retire whatever happens
I beg to differ that fight could have went either way dependant on what the judges were looking for, but on my scorecard that night i had robin reid winning the fight.

I didn't think the judges were the problem for Reid V Ottke. It was the fact that Reid was up against the ref as well as Ottke. He docked a point(s) off Reid for nothing, called a slip when Ottke got genuinely knocked down, and even told Reid off for landing clean punches on Ottke. Reid was simply not allowed to work properly, although despite this he did win the share of the earlier rounds. Ottke actually came back well in the later stages, whilst Reid kind of switched off, and two of the judges got it right with a two point margin to Ottke. The way Reid got treated was criminal, but it was by the ref, not the judges.
