There's been some great fights for him at 140, Khan, Matthysse, Rios etc.

Only person he seems to want to fight is Pacquaio, he got robbed 3 times imo, he thinks he got robbed and many other people do, he proved in the last fight despite the decision he's the better man.

He could be in some great fights outside of Pacquiao again and again.

Khan, Matthysse and Rios all pupped up recently
Well Khan not so recent but at the time Marquez was fighting at 135.
Marquez ran after Pacquiao to Lightweight, beat two of the best there and lost to Floyd.
After that he moved down, rematched Diaz and fought his Mandatory.

One fight a year with Pac puts him way ahead of what he could do otherwise.

Now, if he had not got the fights, it would have been a waste.

In the last 3 years, he's had 3 huge fights(counting this one coming up), in addition to others. If you asked him, I don't think he would have changed a thing. He's accumulated a lot of wealth over the last few years.

The way I think of it is that without Manny, he would have just retired anyway. I would have loved to see those fights, but at his age, it's not important, especially considering all he's accomplished.

Yes and No. I would have loved to see him face guys like Guerrero and Campbell.
However he has given us classics with Pac that will go down in the hall of fame.

He has tamed a beast that everyone saw as being unbeatable.
From his FW days people said he was going to be great. JMM beat him there.
At his SFW they said he was finally a 2 handed fighter. JMM beat him there.
At WW he blitzed through much bigger men and was consider somewhat of a Armstrong. JMM beat him there.

People have always ignored JMM because of his counter punching style so he is not the star Pac is but when people say who was the best of this decade and they say Pac they have to put an asterik by their response as one man bested him 3 times during Pacs amazing run.

    :deal

In fact, even though I don't blame Floyd's side exclusively for negotiations constantly falling apart (Arum, etc.), it makes him seem so irrelevant as these two continue. This is a drama that has been developing throughout a decade in classic fights; Floyd's drama with Manny turned up to be just a lot of hot air.

Every time a fight is close it doesnt mean it could have gone either way :rofl
If i watched it 3 times and scored it for the same fighter every time but he did not get the decision then i believe he was robbed.

    Not really, no.

Marquez has built a solid legacy over the past few years and has made some real good cake too, so he's got nothing to dwell over.

Maybe. If he would of gotten the nod in the fights he would of have fought others. Even now I still think he can dominate eveyone in his division.

He's made a ton of money and given fans both of his and the sport some great battles. He was in the FOTY against Diaz and a FOTY candidate against Katsidis, a cash out farce against Mayweather, and some epic battles with Pac, particularly #2.

His last few years **** on the prime years of many of the guys who get adoration around here.
