Just been watching the Price vs Skelton press conference and Maloney stated that on the penciled in date for February they have 2 British fighters in my mind and if they cant get them Price will fight a highly ranked american. I imagine the 2 british fighters are Chisora and Towers, good to hear that they will fight a highly ranked American if they arent up for it. I think Price would be wasting his time fighting Towers imo but id love to see him fight Chisora or the American opponent they speak of.

Either of those would be a joke fight.

:bart I hope not, i doubt Towers would fight Price tbh but Sprott could probably use a payday i hope that fight doesn't happen.

Chisora is the only viable Brit. If not,a top rated American is the next sensible answer.

Agreed but the key for Price is regular fights against a slowly escalated level of opponent. Sprott has still been in with a higher level of opponent than Price and has done well against them.

You are right that its a foregone conclusion essentially but he might show Price something he hasnt seen. What you dont want is to go right **** it throw him in with Pulev who takes him into deep waters that he wasnt prepared for.

There is no rush with Price and with the frequency he is fighting next Summer he will have the Lonsdale and be ready to fight a fringe world opponent.

True, but could you imagine the reaction on here most people would look past the fact that he has fought Chagaev, Sanders, Brewster, Ustinov, Dimitrenko, Pulev and Gerber and just look at his age (37) and that hes on a bad run with a total of 19 losses and just call him a washed up bum, Price would be slated..... again.

A fight with towers would be a bit pointless at the moment. Can't see Towers wanting it that much at this stage,he is still building his record up and a price fight would almost certainly end with a loss if they fought in February.
Sprott would be more of a test and isn't a bad choice of opponent. I think after that he would be ready to go after a world level fighter.

    Sprott.

Derek Chisora does not want any part of David Price.

Its not even about losing , its how badly your going to lose! that's what people are worried about.

and he's a waste of time too, but it needs to happen to rid British boxing of him and put a more 'ligit' Champion in representation for world honours.

Price IS the best we've got at HW, well him & Haye, but Price is the 'proper' S-HW, which you need to be these days!!!

The best thing David Price can do is get himself over to big bear, get on his hands and knees, and grovel to Audley Harrison. The true champion. David Price knows what he needs to do deep down, its pass that belt over to Audley and walk away.

He is not worthy and not ready. Audley will pass the torch over when he is ready, and that aint yet.
