Who is the #1 Contender? Is the outcome already determined, or will this one unfold before our eyes??

Martin Kampmann has kicks, hands, a solid base and will smash your face in from the clinch. In his last fight we saw him comeback to win after being dropped and bloodied. Many experts think Johnny Hendricks is too one dimensional, but I like his chances. I'm not so sure Kampmann will be able to slow the pace and do his thing. Johny Hendricks won't go away quietly, and has never been stopped in his career. It's hard making a solid pick with the exposure The UFC gives these undercard fighters :-(, but my heart is with Hendricks. FOTY honors in this one, who you got

I always find Kampmann fights incredibly hard to predict. It seems like it could either way ever single time he fights.

I liked the way Johny Hendricks let his hands go in that last fight, your gonna need confidence in the face of knees and elbows.

Hendricks is overrated, Kampmann will probably win. either UD or SUB.

Kampmann seems to get tagged a bit too often, and Hendricks has some crazy power. I can see Kampmann getting sparked.

He is generally able to survive, though. He managed to make it through Ellenberger's onslaught, who is one of the hardest hitters at WW. I don't even doubt that he could have fought back from Daley's beating had the fight been allowed to continue.

You can pretty much guarantee that Kampmann will get hurt at least once in all of his fights.

Might come down to who the ref is and what kind of mood he's in...

  12. It's been good to watch Hendricks rise. Hope it's a good fight.

Very true. He is such a good all rounder that he could win in so many ways but because he isn't really a stand out specialist in any area only he knows how he will approach the fight.

Leaning toward Hendricks on this one based on his wrestling and power but Kampmann could very well put on a clinic and outstrike him all night long.
