Ward beat him outright the first time and owes Kessler nothing. I wouldn't mind a rematch, but why should Ward fight in Denmark or anyplace else? Right now he's the best p4p fighter in the world in my opinion so if anyone wants a piece of him they can come to him.

Ward used the headbutting to his advantage in the Kessler fight, and now it's about time he leaves Oakland.

Ward gave the champion a boxing lesson that night. I have little doubt it would be even worse this time around.

It's about time he leaves Oakland and fights the guy he beat in his home country. It's only fair.

Why? He doesn't owe Kessler a thing. And his last fight was out of Oakland. If Kessler wants another fight he can come to the US, the champ doesn't need to go anywhere.

Yea sounds like sour grapes to me. I think Ward would win more decisively this time around though... no matter where it's held.

And people need to stop acting like Ward has fought every fight in Oakland. He hasn't even fought MOST of his fights in Oakland.

And since when did this become the NBA Finals? This isn't a best of 7 series.

His last fight was at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. He even got Dawson to drain himself to fight him. Which isn't a huge deal but he seems to get some favouritism and some advantages.

Even if he beats Kessler easily the next time. It would look a lot better if he did it in Denmark. At the end the guys the p4p best so it wouldn't hurt him to fight abroad.

And most of he time when he does leave Oakland it's somewhere very close to California, or close to Oakland. I think his key fights were fought in Oakland.

At the end of the day it wouldn't hurt him if he cut Kessler some slack and went over to Denmark to fight him.

I like Kessler, but why is that fair? Ward is the champ, so he calls the shots. Kessler didn't have to fight Ward in the US, he choose to. Ward owes nothing.

My mistake, you're right about where his last fight was. I was thinking of the Froch fight. But Dawson is the one who called for Ward at 168, so you can't blame Ward for that. As far as where they fight, I could care less. I just don't think Ward should be obligated to fight in Denmark after easily beating Kessler the first time.

I think it shouldn't be a big deal to travel to someones country who you've already beat in your own hometown.

I think it's more to do with respect for a fighter. I mean he might beat him comfortably in Denmark but atleast he went over there to another man's backyard and fought him.

I think Kessler going back to Oakland is like rubbing salt in his wounds.
