Chad Dawson vs. Jean Pascal II (HBO) - March 23rd 2013

Uhh... Pascal hasnt fought in something like a year.

And he is coming off an injury.

Hope he has a tune up

 

I'm surprised HBO is still giving Dawson another shot on TV.

 

Simlar story before their first fight. Also Pascal signed a deal with his promoter where he has to get paid 1.5 mil or something like that everytime he fights. So basically there's only like 4 or 5 opponents out there that they can make fights with and be able to pay him that amount of money. So unless he re-negotates he won't be taking a tune up. Incidently a couple of months ago there was talk about him taking a tune up fight in december but its now mid november and I haven't heard anything about that so figure its not going down.

 

So Jean Pascal has been injured again..?

 

If Pascal catches Dawson clean then it's lights out for Chad, he's finished and will never be the same after that jump down in weight. Once they crack they just don't come back.

 

Pascal knows he dodged a bullet after that intentional headbutt.

Looking forward to this one, this is the fight I wanted to see right after they first fight

 

I'm a Dawson fan but I'm not sure he can win this, he woke up too late in the first fight but how can he start fast after comin off a ko loss and lookin like ****, I hope he fights with passion and can pull of the win

 

and Chad just got weight drained and TKOed. Risky fight for both fighters

 

He's still fighting Dec 14th against Aleksy Kuzemski as far as I know, haven't read about it being cancelled so I'm assuming its still happening. The Dec 14 fight was always suppose to be a tune-up for something bigger like Dawson and I hope he keeps it because he does need one before going to a Dawson rematch.

Pascal won clearly about every round except the last one last time. Dawson is slower (as shown in the first fight) and I see that fight going the exact same way.
