It's like when Mayweather does an interview with British press, he rolls out the 'I'd love to fight in the UK one day', he has no intentions, same with Ward. He knows if he trash talks Froch, people will read his twitter, lines like 'I'd love to fight in the UK' are to generate interest, now people are talking about him. No chance Ward comes to the UK to fight - his team are smart in negotiations, all his big fights have been on Ward's terms (home advantage against Kessler, Froch, Abraham, Dawson and he got Dawson down to 168)
spot on fella, i would be highly surprised if he fights froch in the uk. it's just not his style. however, he is far from ppv material and is obviously bothered otherwise he wouldn't be spurting bollox and sounding rather foolish on his own twitter page.
Mayweather dont have to because there are no real challenger in the UK. Maybe Khan one day but Khan is not a serious contender right now... But Ward really has no excuses whatsoever because the two best challengers are in Europe.. So him hiding in the US is just weak..
Carl deserves a rematch. 115-113 win for Ward where Carl wasn't fighting at his best doesn't say that much about Ward. If he doesn't care about Carl, why on EARTH is he tweeting several times about him? We should make the fight happen. Carl is Ward's only real challenge. Who's next for Ward, Tavoris Cloud?? The dude who hasn't fought any great fighters apart from those at the tail end of their careers?
When Ward goes to England and beats Froch, what will the haters have to say then? Come on, the only way Froch wins is if there is hometown cooking.
He was obviously gettin bombarded with tweets from Froch fans and simply responding, and he never "clowned" Froch, more his dumbass fans.
Not hate, but his run is very overrated. He was being badly outboxed by Taylor, got a very questionable decision over Dirrell, got shut out by Ward, and lost close but clear to Kessler. Not to mention Glen Johnson is an overrated journeyman who had done nothing but KO a very mediocre Allan Green. He gets props for beating Bute and Pascal, and a lot of credit for the Taylor KO, but he hasn't been all that impressive.
