I think Ward is just trying to learn to use the boxing media and various social media to market himself. He's just not very good at it yet. Check it out:

Goosen/Ward made Pavlik an offer, and Kelly knows it's a decent offer, but he also knows he can probably coax a little better deal out of Goossen/HBO. Andre makes a surprise call into an F. H. podcast, and implies KP is scared of him. However, anyone who follows the news knows what's really going on. Ward would have been better off to tell the truth.

Froch has made no secret of the fact he wants a rematch, so Andre talks trash about Carl's fight today. The response from fans was immediate and quite negative. Now Andre says he'd love to fight in the UK (damage control.)

Personally, I think Ward is intelligent and articulate enough to get really good at marketing himself, but he's not there yet.

Have you even seen the Taylor fight or are you just going by what idiots say here? The fight was pretty much even by the last round, including the Froch KD and even the American commentators all had it a draw or one round either way by the 12th. The first KD in the 12th gave it to Froch according to the scorecards, the KO was icing. He also KTFO out of a longstanding title-holder in Bute, a fighter Ward avoided by dragging a LHW down instead, Dirrell and Kessler were both pick 'em fights, Pascal was the recognised No 1 LHW not long after. Where do you people come up with this ****? Ward had his Super 6 contract to fulfill (all at home), and now he'll cherrypick while Froch carries on fighting anyone that will stand in front of him. By your shitty logic no-one ever had a good run of fights because there are always faults to be found.

its just a styles thing man. style is everything in boxing. like im sure froch beats bute 9/10 times but ward who beat froch would have a much harder time with bute imo

at any rate id like to see froch vs kessler II in nottingham, could be a big bill with a lot of interest and its a nice competitive fight as well

I would love to see your scorecard for Taylor-Froch. I had Taylor ahead by 4 points give or take a point going into the last round.

I actually gave Froch props for beating Bute and Pascal, and major props for KO'ing Taylor. He has fought good competition, and has been entirely hit or miss during the stretch.

I agree. His run of fights get treated like it's an GOAT run that noone in this sport has done. Ward's run has been almost equally as good and he's managed to dominate all of his opponents, and yet he doesn't get the same props.

    This.

When you're being repeatedly told you need to grow a pair and come to the hometown of the guy you comprehensively beaten, you can be forgiven for writing those tweets. Delusional and butthurt, is what they are.

Because Froch entered the S6 as a titleist and had more to lose, because his first defence was on foreign soil and not against someone out of their natural weight, because he doesn't head-butt his opponents into oblivion, because he took on Bute coming off a loss and demolished him when Ward chose not to, etc, etc. Ward only took on those fights because he was contracted to as part of Super 6, Froch has consistently sought out the best available opponents, on domestic or foreign soil. Ward may the more skilled, but Froch is the greater fighter.
