The win over Dawson would have meant something......at 175 lbs. And Pavlik hasn't even proven he's a viable opponent at Super Middle.

Damn, Ward fanboys feeling seriously insecure tonight. I don't blame them, seeing Froch in this kind of form is scary for any SMW in the world

Not true at all. If he was the greater fighter, he would have proved it when they met face to face. He didn't.

    :deal

Ward would have beaten Froch any where in the world. Froch is one of my favorites but the euros need to get real.

I agree he almost certainly would win in Denmark or England or Canada. Let's see him do it though. Great fighters don't hide in their hometown.

That fight was 2000 miles away from his hometown.

But yes, traveling would help quiet the haters. Most, ironically, are fans of a much less ambitious fighter.

Uncle Rico colour coding his replies for those of us just getting home from the pub slighty worse for wear. One of the many reasons I'll be voting him as most ESB's most considerate poster 2012.

Who the **** else is he going to fight!? He ruined his 175lb debut by fighting Dawson at 168, I have yet to see any discussions for him to fight either Dirrell brothers, he refused the Bute fight before Froch KO'd him so whats he going to do. . . perhaps fight Kelly Pavlik who has struggled at 168 in his comeback, fought no-one of significance at this weight and has been schooled before by Hopkins. GREAT!!!!

I think Ward has the potential to be one of the best P4P in the world long term, but where are his defining fights coming from? I can't see them. Especially when he asks Dawson to move down to 168 (all host of problems with this).

Yes he will beat Froch I have no doubts! I'm just frustrated by bad management and ignorance on his part.

Agreed on many points, but Dawson asked to go down and fight for Wards belts.

The Bute fight has lost luster and h so dominated Froch there's no need for a rematch. Fighting Pavlik is merely getting his name out to more casuals.
