feck me, anybody would think it was froch jumping on twitter, childishly stating he wouldn't be watching the fight and then proceeding to ask the USA fans why he should fight in their country.:nut

Not forgetting froch already achieved this in his first title defence and obviously has never and still doesn't have the concerns of the best fighter at 168.

Grand Daddy Ward seems overly concerned about his children.... Maybe it is because they are earning more money and better fanbase than him?

 

Like I said this is why every nationality gives you Brits a hard time. Nobody talks as much pure unadulterated **** as your fans. You hype guys like Haye, Hatton, Khan, Froch ect and when they get schooled you make nothing but excuses. Youre now doing the same with the next underwhelming crop in Furt, Degale, Brook, Burns snd Cleverly. They just arent elite not great not at the top level no matter how much you want them to be. You believe that Froch who's last 2 fights werent even on television in the states earns more money than an HBO contracted fighter?

I think you will find ward is on peanuts, hbo or not.. the usa is not the be all and end all, especially in the super middleweight division where to be fair the usa have one good fighter.

Ward did win and i have never been so silly to disrespect his skill as a fighter. However, I am glad i am not one of his fanboys feeling the need to defend his contradictory bollox on twitter. As a froch fan I am glad Carl didn't request that all of his Super 6 WORLD boxing classic fights were to be at home and therefore nowhere else in the WORLD. I am glad he is a warrior who tells us about what he is going to do rather than what he wont..

I am also comfortable with the fact that froch lost to ward because ward is very good.. you see it works both ways - so you live it too you see

Wardkke is jealous of Froch's appeal. Nobody wants to see Wardkke fight he has no fans none. And that's because he is unwatchably boring. Froch has more fans in Oakland than Wardkke has worldwide

 

Ward was the better man on the night by some distance but he fought one of his better fights ever while Froch was very much below par.

Since then Froch seems to have changed his approach to suit his attributes of knockout power and a granite chin which has produced some brutal victories.

He won't match Ward for sheer boxing ability but by being more direct he has every chance of out fighting him. While I'd still make Ward the favourite if it were in the US, I'd actualy make it an even fight in the UK.

Either side of the Atlantic I wouldn't be confident of calling the winner in the matchup.

true, but unfortunately great fighters only have the prerequisite that they fight on the biggest stage available, which is over here

the networks govern the biggest fights, they get the biggest audiences by being held here, and they are more expensive to hold anywhere else

Ward carries on fighting what is on offer in the states whilst watching the others earn loads more money and credit than he does.

Ward fought in a competition where all of the original participants fought as the away fighter at some point except for Ward.
Ward didnt want to fight Bute.
Ward hasnt fought one top undefeated fighter
Ward hasnt fought an undefeated world champ

These tough fights you claim?
Kessler was a good win for Ward and his best, but as said Kessler was an unwell double vision suffering fighter that was beaten by the previous champ when that champ was at the end of his career and past his best.
What are these so called other tough fights? Froch fair enough, but Froch was beaten by that double vision suffering fighter, some felt he looked lucky to Dirrell, few to Pascal and Johnson. The division is at a weak time.
Other than that who has Ward fought at SMW that is that good? AA was on a run of 1-2 and had lost his last 2 S6 fights, Bika was beaten clearer by the old past best champ and by Bute already. Dawsons best win was a 47 year old and had no SMW pedigree and was weak at the weight.

How is any of that sour grapes?
