Where do you place him in your P4P list at the moment? Can a case be made for him being top 10? Is it too early? I would be of the opinion that his skills/potential is top 10 but his resume isn't. Even though he is 25-0 and 2 weight world champ. Some question marks remain over his win over PDL, but that has been the only time he has looked troubled. Does he need wins over the likes of Burns/Vasquez to be considered top 10 material?
Guy just destroyed 2 weight divisions. Threatening another. Definitely in top 10, considering who's in some of them(cough, cough..Froch). He can wait though. Guy's still just a kid.
Probably top 20 at the moment, but towards the lower reaches of it. He will eventually go on to become top 3 at least though imo.
How did he destroy 130 lbs? He didn't fight any title holders. I don't get why you bothered with Froch being rated over Broner, Froch has beat Pascal, Abraham, Taylor, Johnson, and Bute. That is better than a win over DeMarco yet quite a lot of people don't even rate Froch top ten.
He didn't clean out 130. There was no clear top guy with Uchiyama competing so it's not correct to say he destroyed that division. He's now moved up and beat one of, if not the best in the division (there was no clear top dog). He'll still have to beat Vazquez and Burns to honestly say he's destroyed the division. Both them guys could make an argument to be number one before Broner's arrival.
His skill and talent are without question....P4P worthy but Demarco won't see Broner break through the rankings quite yet......in my opinion, Broner's nick name is perfectly suited. As corny and embarrassing the kid is outside the ring.....I'm a huge fan of what he does and is able to do inside of it. He has the mentality that produces very exciting fights that's being fought at a very high level.....it's a pleasure to witness. Again......I realize who his competition was and I know Demarco isn't elite.....but the guy was systematically beat down, out classed and destroyed. Demarco is a very good, solid fighter.....not a gate keeper or some fringe contender...He was the light weight champion who had only been beaten like that against Valero. Broner scares me a bit too.....his out of the ring habits could affect his career at some point.....the kid is absolutely going to reach high levels of fame in this sport....based on what I see from him right now...when he's not famous...I hate to think of how he handles the kind of fame that is on the horizon.
