Only just put my vote in and that brought Donaire up to level with Garcia.:patsch

How it can be this close, I don't know. Garcia's had an excellent break-through year, but that hardly warrants him the number one spot over someone that, in the span of just 12 months, will end up with four dominating victories that gave him three world titles in a brand new division he's only just moved up into.

I also don't understand how Ward can be mentioned, either. He's only fought once and that was against an opponent brought down in weight.

Seriously, it's Donaire by a ****-easy mile.

Martinez at the moment. Donaire if he beats Arce.

donaire, 4 fights climbing up in weight in just a year. 2 quality opponents and #1 ranked SBW.

garcia has 1 good win in khan. How does beating a super ultra shot morales qualify for FOTY accolades? lmao

If its not Donaire it should be Martinez.

Martinez if he only had one more quality win.

Not to hold it against him, but he also got knocked down and nearly blew the fight.

Donaire has been too damn dominant, never hurt and making his opponents scared to fight. Not just this year, but ever since he rose to prominence.

You have to reward a kid like that.

it's a shame that viloria has 1 vote when he is more deserving than ward or garcia virtue of his wins over segura, omar nino and tyson marquez all via stoppage. boxing fans needs to watch these guys at the lower weight more.

The Giovani Segura fight happened in 2011. But even still a unification fight and a revenge win over a former world champ is deserving of more than 1 vote.

I must admit I hadn't seen much of Viloria until today outside of his fight with Donaire. But have been watching his fights today Hernan Marquez, Omar Nino Romero 3, his amatuer fight with Brahim Asloum and I am currently watching the Giovani Segura fight. He is definitely and underrated fighter.

yeah mybad it's december of 2011. it seems like it was just very recent and come to think of it, it was within 12 months ago. viloria indeed has been underated due to his own doing. he was actually rated well years ago until he started losing big fights against omar nino and sosa. the last 3 or 4 fights is the best viloria performances you could see of him.
