You need personalities- how about Duran, you can't tell me everyone paid tickets to see his admittedly sublime boxing skills, it was about his vibe. Broner's just a kind of personality that resonates with a certain section of the urban American youth demographic, it's not the way the average Joe likes it but the man knows his base. I myself think every boxer should be strictly professional and white-collar educated in their demeanor, entirely about the art of boxing without personal factors ever showing, their lives focused utterly on displaying their boxing attributes in a contest of wills, not even caring about winning or losing but sacrificing themselves body and soul in something like a religious rite of ecstasy to the temple of Boxing. But casual fans, they want DRAMA, and casuals are the people who pay for the tickets.
