But Bute didn't fight,he just got punched in the face repeatedly, and fell half concious onto the ropes.

    Good luck with that.
I suspect this thread may get bumped in the future with a query from Dr Phil...

Bute didn't just get physically beat up by Froch, he got mentally destroyed too. If the rematch takes place Bute knows he is in with a guy who can basically hurt him at will. Bute will be gun shy and not willing to engage, tentatively backing off at every exchange which plays into the hands of Froch even more. To beat Froch you have to offer him angles behind the jab and at speed, which offsets his charging style and then allows you open up with your own punches. On top of that Froch is a physically strong, tough guy with a granite chin so even a good jab, angles and punch variety will not be enough too keep him off you for 12 rounds. You also have to have the strenght and inside game to smother his work when he gets inside and trys to take it to you (which he will), Bute cannot do any of this against Froch.

Bute won the first round, draw in the second, an that was cause great flurry towards the end by froch, then the 3rd was all froch, keep in mind bute had his left down real low every time he was nailed, forth was tight an leaning towards bute for the first half, but once again bute was letting himself taste too much of froches gloves, an let himself be hit,

Froch fought a smart fight, he timed his shots real well, an final one was enough to stun bute, but if you believe bute did nothing in that fight to win one round, or a good part of 3 rounds, then your blind.

I knew when the 5th started, bute let himself get hit to much, he let his guard down too low, he fights like that a lot, but in this fight against froch, it was dumb, he let the crowd get to him, he kept trying to mix it up with a guy who made his living off his chin. I think if he stays a way from froch an move an moves, I think he could box a wide UD, with a late round beatdown of froch, did you see bute upper cuts were sweet in that fight, he didn't throw any of his body punches he usally throws, I can't wait for the rematch, an if froch shows up with a game plan to time bute again, I believe he has a chance to stop bute again, but I think bute in this rematch will know what to look for,....Guard up, less chance of that punch landing...

Bute is finished, he has no chance of beating Froch.

Credit to Bute if he takes this fight but he really should look to take another path.

25% chance Bute sees the final bell. I think there is a good chance he does a lot of covering up against Froch.

    Pretty much sums it up.

However, pro boxing is all about making as much money as possible and therefore a rematch with Froch in Canada is probably Bute's best option cashwise. Both Bute and Froch make far more money than Andre Ward does because hardly anyone is interested in watching Ward fight.

:nut:nut oh lord, seems you were watching a different fight to me..

For the record, i think you will find that bute letting himself get hit too much happened well before the 5th:lol::rofl

Did you see bute's last fight fella? You obviously think he is back to his best and confident. I see a damaged fighter, who is gun shy without any confidence in his chin? And to be fair, bute's best was never good enough in the first place.

Dam good chance he will and by adopting a more careful approach against froch will be the worse thing he can do. Froch is very good at taking his time, walking his opponent down and battering fighters, especially ones that fight scared like bute will be.

The way to beat froch is by neutralising him like ward did.

Changed my mind. Bute can win a close UD or SD.You remember the majority of commentators gave him as favourit in the first fight. Why commentators couldn`t be surprised again? This time all will be in Bute`s favour.Let`s remember Kessler and Ward avoided Bute`s turf at all costs and recently Kessler avoided Froch`s turf at all costs.Bet Ward wouldn`t go either foreign town of the two from now on.

"Changed" your mind ? You're one of the worst Bute balls-licker in the whole forum. Your points are so poor I don't even have the patience to debate them.

As it is right now Bute probably has a 20-25 % chances of finishing the fight and about 5-10 % of winning. He needs to change something, he probably will, but it needs to be the right things. Meaning something good to keep Froch away for periods in the fight, and something to chip some of his rightfully inflated confidence. If Bute does 1 counter perfectly well during the overconfident hands down full power flurries Froch seems to get a taste for, it could mean that the same thing who makes the British fighter look extremely strong and invincible right now would also be a turning point in Bute's favor.
