I think if he can attack with full commitment like he used to, Senchenko will crumble. Senchenko doesnt seem to have the power to keep an intense pressure fighter off of him.

But, the more trouble Hatton has closing the range the more Senchenko will boss the fight with the jab and stand up Euro boxing skills.

Senchenko has an impressive record and a good am pedigree, but hes been protected, fighting his whole career, apart from the paulie fight,in the comfort zone. I dont think he s prepared for a real scrap.

After 3 years out of the ring you would have thought Hatton would have taken an easier come back fight, his team must have confidence that Senchenko is weak enough not to put up too much of a fight.

I go for a Hatton stoppage in all probability. But, with the odds the bookies have made the fight, a cheeky few quid on Senchenko looks the best bet

has hatton ever used them foam tubes in training before, I don't recall him
training like that ??? I assume it sharpens up the reflexes and reactions ...
any experts on here that can say if his work was impressive or not ?

    cheers

Ricky was always mentioning how Bob's methods are similar to Billy Graham, so I'd assume that he has worked with them before. I don't think anyone can doubt that he's looking good in training. All depends on how he feels on the night and in the ring.

The foam tubes are for hand eye co-ordination, they also develop reactions and defence whilst defending long range punches and then countering.

It's a sharpening tool, keeps the mind and body focused.

I must say i never saw Graham use that, then again in the end all we ever used to see Ricky do in the end on highlight training clips was him and the body belt, Kerry Kayes and the supplements and Ricky jumping over the horse thing with gloves on.

It's difficult to predict because we don't really know where Ricky is at, with him being out of the game so long and all.

It's clearly not going to be vintage Hatton, the question is how past it is he? I'd say very past it and he'll either get stopped or get a gift decision. Drinking and poor diet during his career then other drugs since his retirement. His ring age must be 40+. This could be a disaster.

Billy Graham was a better trainer than Bob Shannon, i see afew people who keep making snobbish type remarks about Billy Graham.

Billy Graham manufactured and made Ricky Hatton the fighter he was............remember that!

FWIW, I'll be putting a score on Senchenko to win by KO/TKO/Disqualification. There's great value in that bet imo.

I'm doing the same thing. Def worth putting a score on at those odds.

I've got a really bad feeling about Ricky's comeback, the same feeling I had about Brodie when he got took apart by Crolla.

Hopefully I'm wrong, Hatton is good for boxing.

If Ricky has anything left then he should destroy Shevchenko. He really is a limited fighter and has poor punch Resistance. Of course we have no ideas of what Hatton will be like after a 3-4 year layoff which included a lot of drink/drug binges in it.

I really can't get into this fight though, it just doesn't5 interest me at all. if it had been on sky I would probably have watched it but **** paying £15 for it on a **** channel with a **** picture.

It's going to be a very emotional weekend for him. Buckets will be needed.
