Not aware what his whole story is. Is he from a boxing background and been a prodigy since he could walk or is he more the kid who was eventually brought into a gym after wuppin' some dude???
Father raised him into boxing pretty much Trained by Mike Stafford lots of amatuer fights (300) 2002 and 2003 National Silver Gloves Champion 2005 National Junior Olympics semifinalist
ye i'd agree, he'll come unstuck eventually against a technically sound fighter.......or maybe i'll be proved wrong, they **** talked floyd his whole career so we should probably learn from that and not make the same mistake twice. Still good for the sport imo.....
Boxing since about 8 years old. Extensive amateur background. Failed to make Olympic team. "Helava" pro though.
I don't think he failed to make the Olympic team, he went to jail before the Olympics in 2008. I think he's been trained by Mike Stafford for years, and Stafford is a legend in the midwest, and has trained tons of ameteur greats. Broner's his best protege.
Hes been a pro since he was 18. Lots of American boxers dont seem to be too concerned with the Olympics. Medals dont pay the rent etc etc.
He got 5 kids, gotta go pro make that $$$$$$. That's why the Olympic team suffers, all the talent goes Pro
