As I understand it, the levels found in Berto were deemed consistent with contamination. Peterson was obviously on substantially more stuff, because he was taking them for "therapy". Whether or not this is true is not the issue. The reason why Berto is being welcomed back is because his levels didn't signify anything that could be used for competitive advantage, Peterson is certainly more of a gray area and could have gained competitive advantage from the levels found in his system.

I agree with this, it doesn't seem fair to compare Berto's situation with Peterson's. Having tiny traces of Nandrolone in your system isn't the same as being 4 or 5 times over the legal T/E ratio using TRT. People just see 'Nandrolone' and assume the worst (undertandable in a way given the history of its use in sport).

Althletes who fail drugs tests tend to get painted with the same brush too often but you can't compare extreme cases like Larry Olubamiwo with someone like Berto or Maccarenelli imo.

It's not just Haymon, but the fact that Peterson has no promoter at all. Still, as was mentioned earlier in the thread, Arum (who's never met a cheater he wouldn't pay) was prepared to make Bradley-Peterson until Peterson turned it down.

Kind of have to agree with this, though I'm still very skeptical

This is fine and all, but who's the source for Berto merely being at contamination levels? Isn't it just Conte himself, who certainly isn't a neutral source on the matter?

Isnt everyone overlooking the fact that Berto was completely exonerated?

But he's got a belt in a weightclass loaded with names so he'll get a big payday soon.

This. I surely won't say I 100% buy the contamination story, but I believe the levels were found to be very low and not enough to have a competitive advantage.

How about Erik Morales who still got to FIGHT after testing positive? No mention of him thread starter?

Any athlete or boxer here who wants to buy contaminated meat? I still have 30-40 kilos in my freezer.

Only 100 dollars a kilo, but it is guaranteed 100 per cent contaminated with whatever turns up positive in your blood tests.

What is 100 dollars when you don't lose your boxing license?

    Imagine if Berto is clean?

He is already a mediocre fighter with PEDS, imagine without one.
